Independent Palestinian Youth Movement – Manifesto
Herak Al-Shebabi believes that the oppressive global agenda of neo-liberalism against which Occupy Wall Street is struggling, and the economic inequality this system engenders, have broader ramifications on international peace and are deeply relevant to the “Israeli-Palestinian conflict.” By making war profitable and superseding the democratic process, the greed and corruption promoted by multinational corporations contribute to perpetuating conflicts, including in the occupied Palestinian territories, where the Palestinian population and its resources are economically exploited by the Israeli occupation. U.S. financial, diplomatic, and military support for the government of Israel reinforce its practices of settler colonialism, occupation, and apartheid. These policies are the face of U.S. imperialism in the region and come at the expense of Palestinian self-determination as well as other basic human rights. In this regard, our struggles are united. An advance for the working people of the U.S. against your elites, is an advance for our cause as well, because it allows for a reassessment of the priorities of the global system, and reevaluates the benefactors and victims of the current world order.
The question of Palestine has long been a victim of the imperial policies of Western states, most recently the U.S., and we look forward to building a global struggle for freedom and justice whether in London or Santiago, Bahrain or Frankfurt, Wall Street or Palestine. It is our collective struggle for humanity, dignity, and the well being of the overwhelming majority of people throughout the world.
“A Global Intifada from Wall Street to Palestine”
The U.S government took your taxes and gave them to the rich, which are in turn used to support Israeli apartheid and the colonization of Palestine. We will not be silent!
We are the 99 %
Together we stand, divided we fall
